Danny and Ollie

Danny has been working part time at both Hightown and Campion tennis clubs over the last 5 years. In this time Danny has worked with people aged from 3 years old right up to 73! Danny has also done some work for the club in the past when helping out with the mini tennis sessions or running the junior club night, so will therefore be known to some of you already.

During this period Danny has gained a lot of experience of working in both a group and one to one based environment. He has organised and run several junior and adult based tennis tournaments at the clubs he has been working at.

Danny has recently set up “rusty rackets” and “cardio tennis” see below for details.

Danny is now available to start up any group or individual based lessons.

He currently charges £25 per hour and can be contacted on:

Assistant Coaches

Danny is joined by assistant coaches – Joel Donnelley, Ollie Morris & Shaun McKiernan.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis is a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic work out. It is a very social and fun class for players of all ability levels taught by a tennis teaching professional. If you’ve never played tennis before its a great way to be introduced to the sport and if you are an experienced high level tennis player it is the best way to train for tennis. Regardless of ability or fitness level the tennis professional is trained to provide the ultimate workout for each person.

Rusty Rackets

Rusty Rackets is a group based lesson for beginners or just people who haven’t picked up a racket in a long time!! It is also a chance for you to meet new people of a similar standard to hit with. In each session a different skill will be taught to all of the participants and then practised during the lesson. So if your racket is starting to develop cobwebs, or you just want to get back in to tennis, then Rusty Rackets is the session for you.

For more details on either of these 2 new classes, please contact Danny as above.

Mini Tennis

Mini tennis is a great way for Under 10s to get a feel for the game. Designed to allow young players to develop at a speed that suits them, there are three colour coded stages – red, orange and green. Starting with red, children play on small courts with mini racquets and soft balls. As players progress, the court size and racquet length increase making the game progressively faster.

Mini tennis programmes run throughout the year. They are open to non-members (although members pay a reduced rate and receive priority in the event the programme is over subscribed). For details please contact Danny on the number above.
